As every year this year also EIACP Programme Centre (RP), Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, IIT(ISM), Dhanbad will be celebrating World Environment Day on 05th June 2024.
This annual event is of great significance as it raises awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and promotes actions to protect our planet. The theme for this year’s World Environment Day 2024 focuses on “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience” under the slogan “Our Land. Our Future. We are #GenerationRestoration”. To mark this occasion, IIT(ISM) EIACP Programme Centre, Dept. of ESE is organizing a plantation drive using MPRT (Matka Plantation Recharge Technique), as a symbol of our commitments towards the sustainable environment and aid in combating the adverse consequences of climate change. Various competitions such as, Sit-and-Draw Competition and Essay Writing Competition for School-Going Children are also being organized on 5th June 2024, Wednesday.
