15-16 Oct 2015: Resource Estimation in Micromine Course

October 15, 2015 - October 16, 2015 | London, United Kingdom

Challoner House, 19 Clerkenwell Close

The two-day Resource Estimation in Micromine course will provide a theoretical and practical overview of mineral resource estimation tools in Micromine. • From exploratory data analysis to grade interpretation, resource classification and block model reporting, participants will gain an overview of the real world application of resource estimation techniques. • The courses are led by experienced practitioners and delivered on a quarterly basis in London at a heavily reduced rate of £500. Spaces are limited. What You Will Learn: Use classical statistics to describe assay data and to make key decisions such choice cut-off value and interpolation technique. • Apply geological domains, flag and composite assay samples. • Produce a global reference estimate. • Learn the decision making process for and create a block model. • Produce an appropriate search neighbourhood. • Interpolate assay grades using inverse distance weighting. • Validate the resulting block model and interpolation. • Considerations for classification. • Resource reporting.
