The 2015 Coal Association of Canada conference will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia on September 16-18th. In response to feedback received from last year’s conference delegates, the Association is pleased to extend its usual two half-day plenary session conference format to include a number of technical sessions on the afternoon of Day 1 of the conference, on September 17th.

You are invited to submit an abstract for this Technical Program.

Papers on any technical topic relevant to the coal industry are welcome. Some suggested topics include, but are not limited to: leading edge environmental management practices (e.g., emissions; water effluent; energy efficiency); cost efficiencies; operational improvements; new technology, equipment, systems; non-traditional coal development/uses; research and development; and innovation.

Abstract Requirements:

Submitted abstracts should be no more than 350 words and describe the proposed presentation.

Selection of the final presentations will be determined based on the final Technical Program developed. Members of the Association will be given first priority to present, followed by non-members.

Eventual conference presentations will be 20 minutes in length, followed by 5-10 minutes for questions and answers. Panel discussions may be included as well, depending on the final topics and speakers chosen.
