This course is for those who want to gain a basic understanding of/get an introduction to design, construction, operational, and closure considerations for a heap leach facilities. The course draws on and expands on a series of EduMine courses, including those that deal with heap leach pad design and operation, the geotechnical performance of mine waste facilities, and mine closure.

The webcast will be held separately from, but in close cooperation and conjunction, with the InfoMine conference, Heap Leach Solutions 2014.

The presenters include those who have written the EduMine courses on heap leach pads, consultants who specialize in heap leach pad design and construction, and academics who have devoted their careers to the research issues of heap leach pads.
