Now a days, due to advances in multi-disciplinary subjects such as Computer, Electronics, Wireless Communication Systems, there is a need for implementation of such advanced technologies to the present Mining Industry. So mining engineers face challenges in implementing appropriate technologies in suitable Geo-Mining conditions of Underground and Open-cast Mines. Needless to emphasize the requirement of mass exploitation of mineral deposits to meet the local and global demands in the present era of globalization. Therefore, this Seminar is intended to highlight the recent advances in multi-disciplinary areas keeping in view the present Indian Mining Scenario and expectations beyond 2015 for improved production, productivity, Safety and eco-friendly mining for sustainable development of mineral deposits of India.
