Logistics: This is the 10th event in Salta, a regional show held every second year. It draws approximately 3,000 visitors, over 50% of who will hold managerial positions. There will be approximately 120 booths in 4 exhibitions including outdoor areas. The associated mining conference draws in excess of 500 delegates.
Message: Until recently, the mineral wealth of Argentina has been under-exploited. Only in the past several years has the Argentina provincial and federal governments realized this potential and improved legislation for the mining sector. Argentina has also completed an important treaty with Chile, that makes mining high in the Andes more profitable by allowing shipping of concentrates to the Pacific, and also for better mobility of labour.
Program: Argentina Mining, the national University of San Martin, the National University of Salta, and the Latin American Mining Organization (OLAMI), organize a comprehensive seminar of mining activity in Argentina. The course is aimed at Senior Officials of institutes and companies, as well as for professionals and academics.
