Examining Cost Reductions and Community Engagement through Technical Water Management Development
Due to the capital intensity of mine operations, the need to manage costs, vigorous environmental regulations, and the ever-important need for sustainability; effective water management strategies in the mining space can help to ensure efficiency and long-term cost reductions. IQPC will bring together mining companies, site operators, regulators, and engineers to share best practices and their expertise in the space.
The U.S. has recently undergone a resurgence of enthusiasm for mining activities. Many believe mine operations and environmental sustainability to be juxtaposed; however, when taken into account from the earliest stages, they can work hand-in-hand to provide greater efficiencies and improve overall operations, while complying with regulatory agencies and the needs of ‘neighbor.’
IQPC’s 2nd Annual Water Management in Mining Summit will reconvene the community that was so actively engaged in the inaugural summit last July in Denver. We will focus on issues as important as mine-remediation, mine-closure, regulations, community outreach and engagement, smart water policies, cost reduction principles and methods, tailings, active and passive water treatment systems, and many other challenging issues the mining community faces today.
