The mining industry in India is currently in a revival phase. The sector has grown at slightly over 2 per cent during April-November 2015 as compared to the same period in the previous year.

The lifting of the mining bans has led to an increase in iron ore production, which has grown at about 3.5 per cent during April-November 2015 over the corresponding period in the previous year. Production of many other key minerals has also shown a positive growth during this period.
