Innovative, cost-effective and sustainable water management in mining
In a context where water is increasingly scarce, and where the demand for water resources and effluent control is growing, the Water in Mining 2016 Congress offers a unique opportunity for professionals to meet and discuss new supply options and economic and sustainable mine water management processes throughout the entire mining cycle.

 

Objectives

  • Encourage the exchange of knowledge and experiences between researchers, professionals and operators.
  • Identify trends, best practices, approaches to regulation requirements, methodologies and technologies used in mine water management.
  • Promote the development of an international interdisciplinary network among professionals involved in mine water management.

Abstract Submission

Interested professionals are invited to submit a 200-300 word abstract of their paper in English by October 16, 2015. Abstracts should be uploaded using the form available on the Authors section of this website.

 

The abstract must state the study's objectives as well as a summary of the results, its importance and applications. Abstracts must also include a title of no more than 100 characters (including spaces) and the correspondent author's full contact information.

 

Simultaneous Spanish-English translation will be available during the sessions, thus oral presentations can be given in either language
