19-21 Jan 2016: Mine Planning - Strategy

January 19, 2016 - January 21, 2016 | Live Webcast

Mine Planning - Strategy - EduMine Live Webcast

This webcast introduces key mine planning concepts. The drive to exploit a mineral resource, such that it adds as much value as possible to the mining business, requires a continual update of the mine plan and the rapid implementation of any value-adding opportunities as they arise. Planning a mining operation requires a unique approach that differs from other industries. On completion of the course, participants will be able to recognize and use key levers in mining such as Mining Method Selection, Process Route Selection, Scale of Operation and Sequence & Scheduling to effectively unlock value from their mining operations.

This course requires participants to undertake numerous calculation based exercises to effectively demonstrate the impact of each of the key levers that will be addressed. All participants will be provided with template/pre-filled excel spreadsheets to minimize time spent on data entry. Good use of excel is therefore required.

Pre-Course e-Learning
Prior to the course, registered delegates have access to the online e-learning material consisting of an introductory course titled Mine Planning 1 - Strategy.

Certificate in Mining Studies
This course qualifies for one day of short course credit for the Certificate in Mining Studies (CMS), a continuing education program of accredited short courses, webcasts and online courses for lifelong learning in mining, supported by University of British Columbia and University of Arizona
