A three-day intensive Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) training session titled "Integrated Approaches of Sustainable Groundwater Resource Management near Mining & Industrial Areas: Recharge Strategies and Quality Enhancement Measures" was organized from 18th December 2024 to 20th December 2024, at the IIIIF, IIT (ISM) Centre, NBCC Shopping Complex, Newtown, Rajarhat, Kolkata. The course coordinator for the training program was Dr. Prasoon Kumar Singh, Professor, Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
The training program saw the participation of around 20 individuals from various subsidiaries of Coal India Limited, Birla Corporation Limited, and IIT (ISM). The event was inaugurated by Sri Hemantha Kumar, Vice President of Birla Corporation Limited, and Mr. Tarun Mishra, Senior Scientist, Central Ground Water Board, Kolkata. The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Arunima Chakraborty.
