Two years ago, we dreamed of creating the IMiN - Innovation in Mining - Centre of Excellence to advance the entire mining value chain through digitalization.Today, we are happy to share that this vision has become a reality!

We have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Coal India Limited to establish the IMiN Centre of Excellence at TEXMiN, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. This partnership marks a significant step toward advancing Mining 4.0 in India.We aim to build a hub where performance, calibration, and standardization are central within the Mining 4.0 framework.

With support from Coal India, IMiN will bring together students, researchers, startups, and industry experts to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the mining field.

The IMiN Centre will also create specialized training programs for CIL’s subsidiaries, helping employees tackle challenges with the latest solutions and develop groundbreaking projects.

Together, IIT(ISM) -TEXMiN - Coal India Limited are committed to making India a leader in mining innovation.
