On August 23, 2024 the EIACP Programme Centre (RP) at Department of Environmental Science and Engineering (ESE) in collaboration with the Horticulture section, O/o Dean (Infrastructure), IIT(ISM) Dhanbad organized a plantation drive under the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" Campaign.
Prof. Alok Sinha - HOD, Department of Environmental Science and Engineering & Coordinator, EIACP (PC-RP), along with Dr. Dhiraj Kumar - Horticulture Officer, Mr. Bishwajit Das - Programme Officer, EIACP (PC-RP) and 30 dedicated research scholars from the Department of ESE, led the plantation of 150 saplings at the I2H Facility and Rosaline Hostel located in IIT(ISM) Dhanbad Campus marking a commitment to environmental sustainability.
The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Sukumar Mishra - Director, IIT(ISM); Prof. Dheeraj Kumar - Deputy Director, IIT(ISM); Prof. A. R. Dixit - Dean (Infrastructure); and Mr. Prabodh Pandey - Registrar, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
The plantation drive is a testament to the institution’s commitment to environmental stewardship and aligns with the broader vision of creating a sustainable and eco-friendly campus. Each sapling planted represents a step towards a healthier environment, reflecting the collective responsibility of the IIT (ISM) Dhanbad community towards nurturing a greener future.
