A MoU was signed today between Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad and Ergo Exergy Technologies Inc. to explore the potential of “Underground Coal Gasification”. Noteworthy that underground coal gasification is crucial for Indian economy and energy demands as most of coal reserves have a depth up to 1000 m. Excited to work together and explore emerging avenues of research in the field of sustainable coal mining and conversion.
