Shri P.M. Prasad, Chairman, Coal India, visited its subsidiary Eastern Coalfields Limited. Shri Prasad inspected and reviewed Chuparvita-Simlong Project, Taljhari, Basdiha & Lohandia patches, and BLS site, all under the flagship Rajmahal Area on the first day.
Chuparvita-Simlong project is to be operated through MDO mode. Shri Prasad also reviewed the progress of construction of a coal handling plant (CHP) at Rajmahal OCP with 10 MTPA capacity, chaired a review meeting, and planted saplings in Rajmahal Area.
On the second day of his visit, Shri Prasad visited the Hura ‘C’ OCP and inspected the construction work of a new CHP. Shri Prasad also visited the Dumaria Kattu Tola rehabilitation site.
Chairman Coal India was accompanied by Shri Samiran Dutta, CMD, ECL, Shri Niladri Roy, Director (Technical), ECL, and senior management of ECL during his visit.
