On 23.02.2024, a team of delegation comprising six officials from BSI EIACP (PC-RP) and Botanical Survey of India (BSI), Kolkata, visited the Department of Environmental Science & Engineering (ESE) and EIACP (PC-RP) Centre of IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. The team included Dr. J. Jayanthi, Scientist 'F' from BSI Headquarters; Dr. J.S. Jalal, Scientist 'E' and Coordinator of BSI EIACP (PC-RP) from BSI Headquarters; Dr. Gopal Krishna, Scientist 'C' from BSI Headquarters; Dr. Shyam Biswa, Botanical Assistant from BSI; Dr. Soumen Gantait, Programme Officer from BSI EIACP (PC-RP); and Mr. Somenath Nandi, IT Officer from BSI EIACP (PC-RP).
During their visit, they held discussions with Prof. Anshumali, Head of the Department of ESE and Coordinator of EIACP (PC-RP) at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. The meeting focused on exploring potential future collaborations and opportunities for organizing various events such as hands-on training programs, seminars, conferences, and workshops. These activities would revolve around Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), an innovative initiative aimed at advocating sustainable living practices.
