NCL Celebrates its 38th Foundation Day

Coal Public Sector Undertaking, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) on Monday, November 28 celebrates its 38th Foundation Day with enthusiasm. Chairman-cum-Managing Director Mr. Bhola Singh in his chief guest address on this occasion, extended best wishes to all the employees, contract employees and beneficiaries.

 

He congratulated the former leaders and employees of the company who played an important role in making NCL a strong, modern and mechanized company and thanked them. Shri Singh said that NCL is Coal India's best performing company in all the three major parameters of generation, dispatch and overloading. He said that due to the efficiency and passion of the employees, the company has also achieved unprecedented growth in financial profit.

 

He reiterated the company's commitment towards mine safety and environment protection, besides meeting the increased coal demand in line with the country's energy needs.

 

Shri Singh called upon all to stop the major factors of pollution at their source itself. He gave a succinct speech on many topics like progressive development in departmental capacity utilization, remarkable role of NCL in Coal India's 1 billion tonne target, environmental studies, technological innovation, sustainable development, balance in office and personal life. He said that the workers deployed in the mines are the pivot of the company's development and their suggestions are valuable, as well as meeting them gives a very pleasant feeling.

 

On the occasion of the 38th Foundation Day of NCL, Mr BK Singh, former CMD of the company, and Ms Shantilata Sahu shared their long experiences in the coal sector in a “Samvad” program organized at the CMD Auditorium of Singrauli Headquarters. He appreciated the excellent performance of the company in coal production, dispatch, strengthening of infrastructure, CSR, environment and other areas and also shared success mantras based on his experience.

 

On this occasion, former CMD Shri BK Singh said that. "On the basis of standardization and mechanization, NCL is making a significant contribution to the country's energy self-sufficiency. He appreciated the new initiatives in the field of environment and business diversity. Sushri Shantilata Sahu threw light on aspects like sustainable development, and efficient employment of manpower. 

 

The session was presided over by Mr. Bhola Singh, CMD, NCL, welcome speech and current business analysis of the company by Dr. Anindya Sinha, Director (Technical/Operations) and vote of thanks by Director (Personnel), Mr. Manish Kumar. Director (Finance) Mr. Rajneesh Narayan, Project General Manager and Head of the Department of Headquarters were present on this occasion.
