Centre of Mining Environment (CME) organised 10th Professor S.K.Bose Memorial Lecture on February 25, 2011 at Golden Jubilee Lecture Theatre (GJLT). Dr. Piyush K. Dutta, A Distinguished Alumnus & Professor in University of New Orleans delivered this special lecture on “INNOVATIONS IN MINING”. Dr. Dutta briefly describe about the Innovations and the differences between industrialization and other development activities. Dr. Dutta discussed in details about various mining operations such as Machinery, underground support, Mine gasses and fire, stowing etc. He also discussed various innovations in these areas.
