The Valedictory Ceremony of the Two Day’s National Conference on ‘Technological Advancements in Waste Management: Challenges and Opportunities - 2023’, organized by Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad in association with EIACP Programme Centre (RP) and TEXMiN Foundation was held on 05.12.2023. At the outset of the programme Prof. Vipin Kumar, Convener, TAWMCO-2023 welcomed all and presented the brief report for this two-days National Conference. Prof. Vipin Kumar shared that during this two-day National Conference VI Technical sessions were conducted in which around 25 technical/research papers were presented by research scholars, UG/PG students and other esteemed participants/delegates from eminent institution/organizations from all over India and 15 Keynote lectures were delivered by distinguished keynote speakers from eminent institutes /organization from all over India and deliberation on key environmental/health issues, challenges, opportunities and new innovative technologies in the field of waste management in India were made. Prof. Vipin Kumar shared that the papers presented during this two day's national conference will be compiled into a compendium and published by Springer, the publishing partner of the conference. Prof. Vipin Kumar also shared about the Poster Presentation Session that was organized, in which research scholars, UG/PG students and other esteemed participants/delegates from eminent institution/organizations from all over India participated in this event and presented their research posters which showcased both applied and fundamental research and case studies, pertaining to the field of waste management.
During this valedictory session number of participants including Prof. J. P. Verma, IESD, BHU, Dr. Rohit K. Mishra, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, Dr. U. S. Chattopadhyay, Head of Research Group, Coal & Mineral Processing, CIMFR Dhanbad, Dr. R. P. Gurung, Addl. Director, CPCB and many others participants gave their feedback about the two days national conference organized by Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad in association with EIACP Programme Centre (RP) and TEXMiN Foundation.
During this valedictory session best oral presentation certificates and best poster presentation certificates were also awarded to the participants. Few delegates/esteemed guests from eminent institutes/organizations were also felicitated with certificate during this valedictory session and certificates were also presented to the organizing team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes for this two days, demonstrating exemplary dedication, coordination and efforts in orchestrating a seamless and impactful conference that brought together students, researchers, industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders leading to the resounding success of the national conference.
At the end of the Valedictory Session, Prof. Anshumali, Chairman, TAWMCO-2023 & HOD/ESE, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad & Coordinator, EIACP (PC-RP), delivered the closing remarks and shared that the enthusiasm, expertise, and collaborative spirit demonstrated by all participants reinforce our collective resolve to embrace sustainable practices in waste management. The exchange of ideas, diverse perspectives, and pioneering solutions showcased during this two days national conference reflects our shared commitment to address the pressing challenges of waste management, forging a collective vision to mitigate environmental impact while embracing advancements. Prof. Anshumali then presented the vote of thanks and extend his deepest gratitude to all participants, speakers, and contributors for making the two day's National Conference on "Technological Advancements in Waste Management: Challenges and Opportunities - 2023" a resounding success.
