Mission LiFE Awareness Programme at Sri Narsingh Narayan Ucch Vidyalaya, Bagsuma, Govindpur on 22.11.2023.

IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) conducted an awareness programme under Mission LiFE at Sri Narsingh Narayan Ucch Vidyalaya, Bagsuma, Govindpur on 22.11.2023. The programme was organized under the guidance of Prof. Anshumali, Head, Dept. of ESE and coordinator, EIACP (PC-RP), IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. Around 250 students, teachers and staffs participated in the programme and were sensitized about Mission LiFE. They all were encouraged to adopt sustainable and healthy lifestyle for a sustainable and better environment. Mr. Bishwajit Das, Information officer, IIT(ISM) EIAPC (PC-RP) delivered a talk on Mission LiFE and told the students about the need to bring behavioral changes among individuals for significant impact on the environmental and climate crises. During the programme awareness materials, posters and creatives highlighting the 7 themes of LiFE Mission were distributed to promote sustainable lifestyle for environment. At the end of the programme students, teachers and staff took the Lifestyle for the Environment Pledge to become Pro-Planet-People and protect the environment by choosing ‘Environment Friendly Alternatives’. Students were also informed about the ongoing Drawing competition under 7 themes of LiFE Mission that is being organized by IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) and were encourage to participate and showcase their ideas. Mission LiFE Cotton/Jute bags were distributed among the teachers and staff of the school encouraging all to use these cloth bags instead of plastic bags. Mission LiFE pledge was also taken at the end.
