IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) conducted an awareness programme under Mission LiFE at Seth Sukhiram Balika Vidyalaya, Govindpur on 21.11.2023. The programme was organized under the guidance of Prof. Anshumali, Head, Dept. of ESE and coordinator, EIACP (PC-RP), IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. The programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Anant Priya, Principal, Seth Sukhiram Balika Vidyalaya, in the presence of Dr. Parul Maurya, Programme Officer, IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP), Mr. Bishwajit Das, Information Officer, IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP), Mr. Durga Das Chandra, IT Officer, IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP), and Ms. Supriya Bistu, DEO, IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP). Around 200 students, teachers, and staff participated in the programme and were sensitized on Mission LiFE and encouraged to adopt sustainable Lifestyle for Environment. Awareness materials, creatives and posters highlighting the 7 themes of LiFE Mission were disseminated during the programme. A quiz competition was also organized among the students and winners were awarded with certificates and prizes. Students were also informed about the ongoing Drawing competition under 7 themes of LiFE Mission that is being organized by IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) and were encourage to participate and showcase their ideas and creative artwork on sustainable lifestyle for environment. Mission LiFE Cotton/Jute bags were distributed among the teachers and staff of the school encouraging all to use these cloth bags instead of plastic bags with the vision to reduce use of single use plastics. Mission LiFE pledge was also taken at the end programme.

Dr. Parul Maurya, Programme Officer delivered a talk on "Sustainable Lifestyle for Environment" and discussed about the 7 themes of Mission LiFE and Mr. Bishwajit Das, Information Officer sensitized students towards approaches of "Sustainable Lifestyle for Environment”.
Mission LiFE Quiz competition organized during the programme and Awareness materials, creatives and posters were distributed among the students highlighting the 7 themes of LiFE Mission were disseminated during the programme.
