IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) conducted an awareness programme under Mission LiFE at Saraswati Sishu Mandir, Katrasgarh on 07.11.2023. The programme was inaugurated by Sri Abhimanyu Kumar, Principal, Saraswati Sishu Mandir, in the presence of Dr. Parul Maurya, Programme Officer, IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP), Mr. Bishwajit Das, Information Officer, IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP), Mr. Durga Das Chandra, IT Officer, IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP), and Ms. Supriya Bistu, DEO, IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP). At the outset of the programme Dr. Parul Maurya delivered a keynote lecture to the students on Lifestyle Practices for a Sustainable Environment. Around 120 students, teachers, and staff participated in the programme and were sensitized on Mission LiFE. Awareness materials, creatives and posters highlighting the 7 themes of LiFE Mission were disseminated during the programme. An extempore speech competition with topics related to seven themes of Mission LiFE was also organized among the students. Students were also informed about the ongoing Drawing competition under 7 themes of LiFE Mission that is being organized by IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) and were encourage to participate and showcase their ideas and creative artwork on sustainable lifestyle for environment. Mission LiFE Cotton/Jute bags were distributed among the teachers and staff of the school encouraging all to use these cloth bags instead of plastic bags with the vision to reduce use of single use plastics. Mission LiFE pledge was also taken at the end.
