IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) attended the EIACP Regional Evaluation Workshop Meet for East Zone, during 21.09.2023 and 22.09.2023, held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. A total of eight EIACP HUBs and RPs attended the evaluation workshop and presented their respective centre’s work and annual plan of actions for F.Y. 2019-2020 to F.Y. 2023-24. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Unmana Sarangi, Joint Director, Economic Division, MoEF&CC, New Delhi, along with other eminent dignitaries, Dr. Achuta Nand Shukla, Additional Director/Scientist-E, MoEFCC, New Delhi, Prof. Venkatesh Dutta, Dept. of Envtl. Sc., SEES, BBAU, Lucknow (UP) and Prof. Sanjay Sharma, NITTTR, Chandigarh (PB), present as evaluation panel experts. Mr. Ravi Goswami, Sr. Web Developer, Mr. Ranjan Kumar, Sr. Information Officer and Mr. Ravi Shankar, Accountant from EIACP Secretariat, MoEF&CC, New Delhi were also present in the meeting.
The eight EIACP Centre that participated in the Regional Evaluation Workshop meeting were (i) IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP), Dhanbad (ii) Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI), EIACP (PC-RP), Patna, (iii) Forest & Environment Department, EIACP HUB, Jharkahnd, (iv) Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) EIAPC HUB, Raipur, (v) Centre for Environmental Studies (CES) Forest & Environment Department, EIACP HUB, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, (vi) Zoology Survey of India (ZSI) EIACP (PC-RP), Kolkata, (vii) Botanical Survey of India (BSI), EIACP (PC-RP), Kolkata, and (viii) Department of Environmental Science, Kalyani University (DESKU), Nadia, West Bengal.
During the Regional Workshop IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) inaugurated the Special Edition of Monograph on Mission LiFE: Sustainable Lifestyle Approaches Towards Environment and Climate Change (Vol. 21, 2023) and Quarterly MINEIACP Newsletter (June Issue No. 117, 2023). Prof. Anshumali, HOD, Department of Environmental Science & Engineering and Coordinator, EIACP (PC-RP), IIT(ISM) Dhanbad and Mr. Bishwajit Das, Information officer, EIACP (PC-RP), IIT(ISM) Dhanbad were present from IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) Centre in the meeting and delivered presentation showcasing the impressive work that IIT(ISM) EIACP centre has carried out for the last four financial year, i.e from F.Y. 2019-2020 to F.Y. 2022-2023. The program was hosted by CECB EIACP (HUB) Centre, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
