On the occasion of World Soil Day, a one-day workshop was organized by DoFECC, GoJ in association with Institute of Forest Productivity, Ranchi at State Forest Training Institute, Mahilong, Ranchi on 05.12.2022. The program was graced by Sh. L. Khiangte, IAS ACS, Forest & Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, IFS PCCF (HoFF), Jharkhand, Sri Kulwant Singh, APCCF Research & Training, Dr. Nitin Kulkarni, Director, IFP, Ranchi and Smt. Diksha Prasad CCF Training.
The seminar was organised by State Forest Training Institute, Mahilong, Ranchi in association with Institute of Forest Productivity, Ranchi. On this occasion renowned personalities like Dr. Anshumali from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, Dr. N Bala and Dr. V O Panwar from FRI Dehradun and Sri Siddharth Tripathi, CCF Research shared their experiences among the audience consisting of forest officers, scientists. Dr. Anshumali, Professor & Head, Dept. of Environmental Science and Engg. and Coordinator, IIT(ISM) EIACP (PC-RP) delivered a talk on "Soil Restoration and Conservation: an Implication in Water-Food-Energy Nexurs in India". On this occasion Forest Soil Health Cards were also distributed to Territorial DFOs.
Theme for the world soil day this year was “Soils where food begins”.
