IIT(ISM) Dhanbad inked an MoU with RZ URBAN ENVIRO PARTNERS LLP, Ranchi on 30.05.2022 with an aim to commercialize Rapid Organic Waste Stabilizer (IN Patent No. 373169). Prof. Sagar Pal, Associate Dean, Research Infrastructure(Research & Development), IIT(ISM) Dhanbad and Dr. Rizwan Reza, RZ Urban Enviro Partners LLP, Ranchi signed the MoU. Prof. Rajiv Shekhar, Director and Dean (R&D), IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, Prof. Rajiv Kumar Gangwar, Associate Dean, Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy (Research & Development) IIT(ISM) Dhanbad and Prof. S.K. gupta, professor, Dept. of ESE, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad were also present during the signing of the MoU.

This technology was developed by the team led by Prof. S.K. Gupta, Environmental Engineering department professor and his research scholar, Nitin Kumar. The Rapid Organic Waste Stabilizer (ROWS) accelerates the process of digestion of organic wastes facilitating the speedy waste management requirement of bulk waste producers hotels, restaurants, malls and urban local bodies.
