Department of Environmental Science & Engineering organized 40th Anniversary of Earth Day Celebrations on the eve of World Earth Day, April 22, 2010 at GJLT, ISM to create awareness on paramount global environmental challenges like climate change in our endeavour on sustainable development to serve our mother earth. Col. P.S. Sandhu, Registrar, ISM was the Chief Guest. Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Professor & Head, ESE gave the inaugural presentation emphasizing the benefits of green habits as a part of daily habits. ESE Faculty Members and Students from different disciplines expressed their views on the earth day and its significance. On this occasion a framework for greening of ISM Campus was also outlined. The celebration concluded with plantation of saplings around ESE Departmental Garden.
