EIACP (PC-RP) on Environmental Problems of Mining

IIT(ISM) ENVIS Centre at Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, IIT(ISM), Dhanbad organized an online competition on the occasion of World Environment Day 2021 among different categories of participants. Students from class Nursery to Std. XII, graduates, post-graduates, research scholars and even working professionals from various school/colleges/institutions/organizations participated in this online competition. The online events include Drawing Competition, Essay Writing Competition, Poster/Inforgraphics Design Competition, Photography with Caption Competition, Poem/Song Competition and Short Informative Video Making Competition. Entries received in each of the events were magnificent. It was related to the theme of World Environment Day 2021, i.e. “Ecosystem Restoration”. The online events were well received by the participants, which helped in skilful and creative learning and awareness towards the protection of the environment. Students participated with great enthusiasm and zest. The Centre received 376 entries under all the categories from all over India. We even received one entry from our neighboring country Bangladesh. Indeed the online competition provided a platform for their creative expression and self-awareness. The event and category wise details of the participants are mentioned below:
