Coal Mining Day” has been celebrated in all coal mining projects, Coal Mining-HQ. and Corporate Centre on 7th December 2016,.NTPC made its footprint in the map of coal producing companies across the globe by extraction of it's first coal from Pakri Barwadih mine.
On this occasion, an interactive session, through webcast, with a team of Australian Mining Experts was organised. Shri AK Gupta, Director(Commercial & Projects) & Nominated Owner of Coal mines of NTPC inaugurated the session in presence of Shri Sariputta Mishra, Head of Mining; Shri Partha Mazumder, ED(Coal Mining), CC; Shri Prashant Kashyap, ED(PB, CB & Badam); and Heads of other Coal Mining Projects.
In this technical session, advancement in mining technologies worldwide, global best practices on safety, environment-friendly and sustainable mining were discussed. All CMPs and CM-HQ were connected through VC.
