IIT (ISM), Dhanbad along with MINENVIS Center and Karma Jyoti celebrated Swachchta Pakhwada, a fortnightly event from 17th September 2017 to 02nd October 2017 to contemplate the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The focus during Swachhta Pakhwada was not only to garner people's involvement but also to bring about behavioral and attitudinal change through innovative activities so that the ultimate goals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan could be achieved and sustained. Under Swachhta Pakhwada, a pledge was administered by Director, IIT(ISM), Dhanbad Prof. D.C. Panigrahi for creating awareness towards importance of cleanliness at the campus and workplace to the students, officers and staffs of the Institute on 17th September 2017.
