EIACP (PC-RP) on Environmental Problems of Mining

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
5th JUNE 2011

Centre  of  Mining  Environment/Department  of  Environmental  Science  &  Engineering,  Indian School  of  Mines,  Dhanbad,  celebrated  World  Environment  Day  on  June  5,  2011.  Several participatory activities were organized in the campus, such as:
 

Sit & Draw Competition

Sit and Draw competition was organised as usual. Around 150 students from Nursery to Std. X
took  part  and  expressed  their  views  through  the  art.  The  programme  was  inaugurated  by Director, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
 

Extempore Speech

Extempore Speech also organized by CME/ESE, ISM, Dhanbad. Around 20 students from Std. XI
and Std. XII took part and expressed their views on the topic “Forest : Nature at your Service”.
 

The programme was ended with prize distribution among the successful candidates.
