WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

On the Occasion of World Environment Day 2012 Drawing & Competition and Plantation in Campus were organized under the aegis of the Centre of Mining Environment (CME), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad and celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2012. Several participatory activities were organized in the campus, such as:
Drawing & College Competition:
Sit and Draw competition was organized for School Children. Around 250 students from Nursery to Std. X under 4 Categories took part and expressed their views through the art on the topic “GREEN ECONOMY: DOES IT INCLUDES YOU? ” The programme was inaugurated by Prof. D. C. Panigrahi, Director, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
Tree Plantation: Plantations of a few ornamental trees were done in the Amber Hostel Complex and Ring Road ISM . Prof. D. C. Panigrahi, Prof. A.K.Pal and ESE faculties, Staffs and Students, as well as other Staffs of ISM also joined in the plantation activities.
