“Air Quality Assessment, Prediction and Control for Industrial Areas”

 

3 Day training program on “Air Quality Assessment, Prediction and Control for Industrial Areas” was organized by Centre of Mining Environment, Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, ISM, Dhanbad, during September 17-19, 2015. The course was coordinated by Dr. Manish Kumar Jain, Associate Professor and Co- coordinated by Dr. Asim Kumar Pal, Professor, and Dr. Suresh Pandian, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science and Engineering. Prof. D.C. Panigrahi, Director, ISM, Dhanbad inaugurated the program on 17th September 2015. Twenty Two Executives from several academic, research and industrial organizations like Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag; Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore;, BIT Mesra, Ranchi; NTPC, Noida; National Institute of Miner’s health, Nagpur; Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board; State Pollution Control Board, Odisha; Indian Rare Earth Limited; NMDC; CMPDI; BCCL; and Global Environmental & Mining Services, Karnataka etc; have participated in this training program. 15 Lectures were delivered on Air quality monitoring, analysis, control and prediction including various available models for air quality prediction.
