Mining companies asked to use technology to maintain eco balance

 

BICHOLIM | March 27, 2017: Indian Mining Industry General Manager Ranjan Sahay has called upon the mining companies to take the help of new technology thereby maintaining ecological balance and protecting environment. He was addressing a gathering during mining and environment protection safety week organised by Vedanta’s Sesa Resources Private Limited at Ravindra Bhavan, Sanquelim, recently.

 

On this occasion Indian mining industry convener, Dr Y G Kale, Vedanta’s chief manager Kishore Kumar, Chairman Savik Muzumdar and Vijaykumar were amongst others present on the dais.

 

Dr Kale said mining companies should make a habit of adopting good things from others that would help to undertake good mining business besides maintaining and protecting environment.

 

He also stressed the need to fulfill the mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of Make in India by making optimum use of available natural resources in the country.

 

Kishore Kumar and Muzumdar spoke on the importance of mining environment and protection safety week. On the occasion, a souvenir on mining safety was also released and different mining companies fulfilling the environmental norms were awarded on the occasion. This was followed by cultural programmes.
