Owners of vehicles used in sand mining will be booked for theft

 

Barwani | Jul 11, 2015: The owners of the vehicles, which are involved in the sand mining, will be booked under theft at government property while the vehicle will be seized at police station. During a meeting, the decision was made in the presence of collector Ravindra Singh, SP Tilak Singh, SDM Barwani Deepak Arya, mining officer Sachin Verma, RTO Surendra Badoniya, all tahsildars, nayab tahsildars, TIs and other officers at collector office on Thursday. To stop the sand mining and sand transportation, a team will be formed under leadership of SDM Deepak Arya and ASP T S Baghel at the district head quarter. At the tahsil level, an inspection team will be formed under the leadership of tahsildar and TI.

 

As per the need, the mining, police and revenue department teams will be made part of the inspecting team. Constables and patwaris will be deployed at sand mines and ghats.

 

The vehicles, which are used in the transporation of sand, will be seized and brought to the police station. The vehicle owners will be booked under theft case. Collector Ravindra Singh appealed to all citizens and contractors to obtain royalty copy or Xerox from the sand seller and keep it safe with them so the royalty could be showed during the inspection.
