Give Utmost Priority to Workers’ Welfare, Says SCCL CMD

 

HYDERABAD | May 08, 2015: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) chairman and managing director (CMD) N Sridhar directed area general managers to give utmost priority to the welfare of employees.

 

‘’Solve all the problems of the employees and their family members during ‘Mee Kosam Mee Chentaku’ programme. Drainages, roof leakages, sanitation works should be completed and ensure cleanliness and hygiene in all colonies, Sridhar said, speaking at the review meeting of area general managers held at Ramagundam on Thursday.

 

All cement works should be completed before rainy season. Parks should be developed in the colonies where there are no parks, he said.

 

The CMD also suggested to renovate the canteens in the mines.

 

“Pit-head bathrooms should be constructed at all mines. Congenial environment should be ensured not just in colonies but even in mines. Advanced medical facilities should be made available in all areas. Doctors and ambulances should be made available at all colonies,” he pointed out.

 

Instructing the GMs to focus on optimum utilisation of human resources and machinery in mines, Sridhar also stressed to take steps to keep a full stop to free musters in mines and offices.

 

‘’We can achieve the target coal production of 600 lakh tonnes only by optimal utilisation of machinery bought by incurring crores in open cast mines,’’ Sridhar said.

 

Sridhar asked the officials to make all arrangements to open Ramagundam OCC-3 extension, Bellampalli OC-2 and Kondapuram underground mines in Manuguru area on the occasion.
