CCL to run Rozgaar Sahayata Kendras in rural areas

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Gopal Singh called upon the CCL families to come together to work towards a Clean India, saying that the dream of Mahatma Gandhi was not confined to political freedom but was extended to clean and developed nation, too. On the occasion of paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi Lal Bahadur Shashtri on their birthday on Monday at CCL Headquarters Darbhanga House in Ranchi, Singh also announced setting up Razgaar Sahayata Kendras in rural areas.

 

“Cleanliness is something we all require. The mentality of common people is changing after massive campaign by the Government. Now people are becoming more aware about cleanliness and restrain themselves from throwing garbage in public places,” Singh, who is also Chairman of Coal India Limited (CIL) at present, said.

 

He said that Rozgaar Sahayata Kendra will benefit rural boys and girls. “CCL officials will teach moral science and English in the morning and assist in filling forms of government related jobs. Our mining operations are carrying out in eight districts of Jharkhand and the company is committed to provide all necessary helps for unemployed youths in getting jobs,” the Chairman stressed where CCL Director (Personnel) RS Mahapatro, Area GMs and GMs/HODs from headquarters, principals of 14 DAV Schools in State, representatives of trade unions and other dignitaries were also present to pay paid floral tributes to Father of Nation as well as former Prime Minister on their birthday.

 

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with an aim of making India clean by Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary in 2019. The government declared Gandhi and Shashtri’s birthday as Swachh Bharat Diwas. The government also launched the “Swachhata Hi Sewa” campaign to mark the anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission from September 15 to October 2 this year.

 

A mega prize distribution ceremony was also organised on the occasion in Darbhanga House in which almost all areas of CCL including headquarters, various DAV group of schools and individual prizes were given for their outstanding contributions on carrying out Swachchta Hi Seva campaign.

 

Mahapatro said that the company has been working in the field of Swachchta in CCL headquarters and all areas. “We are playing a role of partner for making clean India and fulfilling the dream of Mahatma Gandhi,” Mahapatro said.
