26 trucks seized for illegally transporting sand, basalt

 

PONDA | Sept 05, 2017: The Mines Department conducted inspection at various places in Goa and seized 26 trucks involved in illegal transportation of minor minerals including sand, laterite stone, basalt etc.

 

Assistant Geologist of Directorate of Mines and Geology Anthony Lopes along with staff conducted site inspection at various place.

 

The officials seized 26 trucks -- nine at Porvorim, five at Farmagudi, seven at Cuncoliem, and five at Savordem.
