Debashis Mukherjee, Senior Manager, Excavation, Khondbond Iron Mine, Ore Mines Quarries (OMQ) Division, Tata Steel, won the MEAI (Mining Engineers’ Association of India) – Abheraj Baldota Memorial Gold Medal award (Young Mining Engineer of the year) 2016 in a seminar held at Department of Mining Engineering, College of Technology and Engineering, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, Rajasthan on July 7 last.
The award was received by Mukherjee from Ranjan Sahai, Controller General, IBM, T Victor, President, MEAI and Arjun Lal Munda , MP, Udaipur during the inauguration of the national seminar on ”Recent Mining and Environmental Issues in India” at Udaipur. He also participated in the Annual General Meeting of MEAI, 2016-17, which was held after the seminar on this occasion.
