NLC India to set up office in Chennai

 

PUDUCHERRY | April 19, 2017:

Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) India Ltd. will set up a corporate office in Chennai.

 

Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLC, laid the foundation stone for the new complex on the campus of the NLC Regional Office at Kilpauk recently.

 

The corporate office will coordinate NLC projects across various locations, such as Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka. Maharashtra, Odisha, Jharkhand and Andaman apart from Tamil Nadu. The mining company also has plans to expand its business. The planned building, constructed at a cost of ₹23,24,84,000 using modern construction technologies, will be a 10-storeyed structure. It is expected to be completed within 15 months.

 

The construction work would be carried out by the NBCC India Limited (formerly National Building Construction Corporation), a Navratna Company of Central Public Sector Undertaking. After construction, this building would find fully automated, multi-level parking facility to cover 40 cars and 102 two-wheelers. Solar panels will be put up on the terrace to generate part of the power needs of the corporate office. NLC Directors P. Selvakumar, R. Vikraman and Sri M. Maheswaran, CRM, along with officers of NBCC India Limited were present at the event.
