Ensure supply of gravel for capital works

VIJAYAWADA | March 10, 2017: The Mining department has identified three locations in the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) jurisdiction to lift gravel for the construction of Amaravati.

The CRDA has also given its nod to take up gravel mining for the capital city construction. CRDA commissioner Ch Sridhar convened a review meeting on Thursday, where he discussed supply of gravel for the capital construction works.

The commissioner directed the officials of the Mining department to take necessary steps to supply gravel.

He has constituted a coordination committee chaired by joint collector Kritika Shukla to discuss and resolve the issues in the mining activity. The coordination committee should meet on every Friday to review the activities of the gravel mining, the CRDA commissioner said.

Engineering officials were told to mark the land for camp offices of mining companies.
