BOMDILA | Feb 16, 2017: West Kameng District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Sonal Swaroop has issued an order prohibiting all kinds of mining activities within the jurisdiction of Bhalukpong Sub-division.

The order has been issued to check the reported indiscriminate collection of boulders, sand and minerals from the forests, road sides and river beds in the sub-division. The prohibitory order further gives any aggrieved party/ parties a period of 15 days to explain as to why the order should not be made absolute.
