Mines Safety Week concludes at Banduhurang Uranium Project

 

Jamshedpur | Dec 13, 2016: Mines Safety Week celebrations concluded at the Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) at the Banduhurang Uranium Project on Tuesday.

 

The chief guest of the programme was VV Satiar, Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Chaibasa).

 

In his address, he advised the employees to implement safety rules in daily life. He said that following safety rules and working strictly as per norms was the only way to ensure safety. He said that better safety scenario could be created at the workplace if safety was made the way of life.

 

Also present on the occasion was the GM of Turamdih Uranium Project PN Sarkar. He said the Banduhurang Uranium Project had a culture of following safety rules.

 

He said that no accident had ever occurred at the Project mines from 2005 till date. He said the employees had successfully complied with the safety benchmark set by the company.

 

Among others present on the occasion included SN Mishra from Tata Steel, S Mishra from Odisha Cement Plant, VR Mohanty from Cement Plant, Odisha, Subhash Mishra from Sadbhavna Engineering Limited and mines manager of Banduhurang Kishore Bhakt.
