KOLKATA | Nov 22, 2016: Vedanta Limited has elevated its chief financial officer, Arun Kumar GR as a director on the company’s board. The decision was approved at a meeting of Vedanta’s board of directors on Tuesday. The board also approved the appointment of Bhumika Sood as company secretary and key management personnel with effect November 23, 2016, the company said in a notification to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE).
Arun Kumar was appointed chief financial officer on September 30, 2016 moving up from his role of executive vice president finance & deputy CFO. He joined Vedanta in 2013 as CFO for the company’s aluminium & power business and has over 21 years of experience in global companies. Bhumika Sood, currently deputy company secretary and compliance officer, has over 12 years of experience in multi-disciplinary areas of core secretarial, regulatory and compliance function, the company said in a statement.
