42nd CIL Foundation Day celebrated at CCL

 

Ranchi | Nov 02, 2016: The celebration of 42nd Foundation Day of Coal India, Central Coalfields Limited started off with paying rich tribute to coal martyrs, who laid down their lives while carrying out mining activities, at Shaheed Ashmarak, CCL Headquarter, Darbhanga House, Ranchi on Tuesday. The celebration will conclude on November 15.

 

Chief Guest, DK Ghosh, Director (Finance) congratulated everyone on the occasion of CIL/CCL Foundation Day. He said on the occasion that CCL has come out from period of stagnant growth. He added that in the FY 2015-16, CCL not only achieved its target but also maintained double digit growth in continuation with last year. On the occasion, he reiterated commitment for holistic development of villagers, downtrodden and workers. Gosh said that Government has set target for CCL of 133 MT coal production by 2019-20 and he is sure that company will achieve it with support of each employee and stakeholders.

 

Subir Chandra, Director (Tech/Operation) in his speech pointed out that coal industries have undergone positive changes and it emerged as the frontrunner among 20 government undertakings in Preventive Vigilance as revealed by Central Vigilance Commission.

 

On the occasion of CIL/CCL Foundation Day, RS Mahapatro wished and congratulated each employee and urged them to contribute their best so that company achieves its annual target of coal production and become number one subsidiary of Coal India. He also informed the gathering that Coal India is giving CCL first prize in the field of CSR during Foundation Day.

 

AK Mishra, Director (P&P) said that company has huge potential and it will continue to achieve its coal production target in future. Arbind Prasad, CVO talked about the historical achievements of CCL in last 41 years and said that the company has taken many IT initiatives in recent years. He reiterated that Coal India has emerged as the frontrunner among 20 government undertakings, which is revealed by Central Vigilance Commission.

 

The Chief Guest and others released balloons to mark the Foundation Day. Chief Guest, Directors, CVO and others hoisted flag of Coal India, CCL and its areas.

 

On this occasion Pramila Singh, w/o of CMD, Rimi Ghosh, w/o of Director (F), Sunita Mahapatro, w/o of Director (P), Sujata Prasad w/o CVO, Rekha Singh, President of WIPS and other women officers visited Old Age Home, Chessire Home and Braj Kishore Netraheen Balika Vidyalaya- distributed fruit and sweets among them.
