Tata Steel Kalinganagar plant bags prestigious Kalinga Safety Award

 

Kalinganagar | Sept 26, 2016: Tata Steel, the leading Steel and Mines Company in India, was conferred with the prestigious ‘Kalinga Safety Award 2015’ in the Gold category for its Kalinganagar Steel Plant at the 7th Odisha State Safety Conclave held in Bhubaneswar. Odisha State Safety Conclave 2016 was organized by Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services (IQEMS)on 24th & 25th September 2016 at Bhubaneswar. Tata Steel Kalinganagar plant was awarded with Kalinga Safety Award-2015 (Gold Award) under Construction category.

 

Mr Manikanta Naik, Chief Resident Executive (CRE), Tata Steel, Mr B D Mohanty, Chief of Operations Safety, Tata Steel Kalinganagar & Mr Gajendra Chandra Bisoi, Head ,Workplace Safety – Operation, Tata Steel Kalinganagar were present on the occasion. Mr Mohanty also made a presentation on the ‘Leadership role to bring safety culture in organisation’ in the session. The Conclave was attended by senior officials of Government and private companies and safety experts.
