Osmania University (OU) will restart the Mining Engineering Department from the next academic period.
The Alumni of Mining Engineering Department of Osmania University, who met OU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S Ramachandram here today at Vice-Chancellor's chamber, requested him to restart the Mining Engineering Department in the University.
They assured to extend support for the success of Centenary year celebrations of Osmania University.
The VC promised to restart the Mining Departmen at Undergtaduate (B.Tech) and Post graduate (M.Tech) level from 2017-18 academic year.
They have also met the registrar of Osmania University Prof. E.Suresh Kumar.
Among Alumni who met the VC are Coal Ministry Advisor D N Prasad and other officials from the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) includes Director (Operations) B Ramesh Kumar and former Deputy Director General of Mines Safety P Ranganatheeswar.
