Hyderabad | Dept 09, 2016: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has achieved planting of one crore saplings as part of Haritha Haram programme.
SCCL MD and CEO N Sridhar appreciated all the heads of 11 areas for making Haritha Haram programme a grand success in the company and reaching highest ever record.
He said the programme was launched in SCCL with an initial target of 50 lakh plantation. However, the target was revised to 75 lakh saplings.
He said SCCL planted 60 lakh saplings in 11 mining areas and distributed 40 lakh saplings to government bodies and public representatives to plant them in their respective areas.
