Cabinet, on Tuesday, has decided to sign memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and Manganese Ore India Limited (MOIL) in order to increase minerals’ revenue and employment in the mineral sector. MoU will be signed by Directorate of Geology and Mining and State Mining Corporation.
Cabinet has also extended period of Madhya Pradesh State Varishtha Nagrik Kalyan Ayog and Rajya Samanya Nirdhan Varg Kalyan Ayog till March 31, 2017, and provided approval to amount of over Rs 2937 crore to four irrigation projects. These four projects will facilitate irrigation in 95,730 hectare land. Besides, approval has been given for establishment of Industry and Employment Directorate under the Commerce, Industry and Employment Department.
Government also decided to appoint Sweeti Martin, wife of late Bablu Martin of Maihar in Satna district at Tribal Boys Hostel, Maihar district Satna on the vacant post of grade 4 employee. Announcement was made by the Chief Minister on August 21 in this regard during his visit to the flood-affected areas of Maihar. Bablu lost his life while making efforts to save lives of people from sudden collapse of residential cum commercial building constructed by Madhya Pradesh Housing and Infrastructure Board at Maihar.
Sanction has been given to create a new post of Commissioner, Industries and Employment Service, in the form of Head of Departmental. Cabinet has also given sanction for construction of three new sports complex for the students of scheduled tribe category, 20 pre-matric and 20 post-matric hostels, building construction for 65 girl’s education campus and creation of posts and building construction for establishment of 4 model residential schools at division head quarter and operation of model Eklavya residential school. Cabinet also decided to sanction construction of mini stadium at Baroda of Sheopur and establishment of boxing day boarding center at Gwalior. Apart from this, many other decisions were also taken by the Cabinet.
