P.K. Sinha took charge as Director Technical (Project & Planning) in South Eastern Coalfields Limited recently. In his 34 years of service in coal mining sector he has rendered his service in several subsidiaries of Coal India Limited like South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL), Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) and Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL).
Mr Sinha started his service from South Eastern Coalfields Limited, Korba Area and was posted in Bankimongra underground mine from 1982 to 1986. He worked in CMPDIL headquarter, Ranchi from 1987 to 1993. He was posted in WCL in 1993 and till 2007 served in several projects of the company with distinction. In 2007 he joined NCL and till 2016 served as Project Manager and Project Head in several projects. Under his able guidance and team work in the year 2010-11 he achieved a record 2.05 lakh ton coal production in a day in Jayant project and established a world record. Against the annual target of 10 million ton for the project the production achieved was 15.5 million ton.
