New Delhi | Jul 07, 2016: Cement maker Ultratech today said it has secured coal supply for its cement plants and won linkages in Maharashtra.

 

"The company has participated in the auction of coal linkages for cement sector and won linkages in Maharashtra," it said in a regulatory filing.

 

The linkages include Penganga OC mines (auction held on June 28) - 52,000 TPA of G10 Grade at a basic floor price of Rs 1,510 per tonne and a premium of Rs 20 per tonne, it added.

 

It also won the supply from Mana Incline (auction held on July 1) for 30,000 TPA of Grade 8 at a basic floor price of Rs 2,060 a tonne.

 

"A formal communication vesting the said linkages in the company's favour is expected in due course. Company intends to participate in future linkage auctions for its plants located strategically near the coal mines," it said.

 

The firm had reported grey cement sales of 46.93 million tonnes for 2015-16 against 43.38 MT in 2014-15 and 13.20 MT in the January-March quarter of 2015-16 against 11.51 MT in the year-ago period.

 

India's largest cement manufacturer, Ultratech has an installed capacity of 69.3 MT Per Annum (MTPA). It has 12 integrated plants, 1 clinkerisation plant, 19 grinding units and 7 bulk terminals with operations spanning across India, UAE, Bahrain, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
